How It Works

Rumtoo’s sink-float separation tank harnesses the principle of density-based separation. With water’s density at 1 g/cm³, materials denser than water, like PET plastic, sink to the tank’s bottom, while lighter materials, such as PP/PE bottle caps, float to the surface. This process ensures precise separation, critical for high-quality PET recycling.

The tank features rotating drums that guide floating contaminants to a storage silo for easy collection. Meanwhile, screw conveyors at the tank’s base efficiently transport sunken PET flakes to the next stage of processing, ensuring a seamless workflow.
