Maintenance is straightforward. The moving knives are designed with four cutting edges and are fastened with screws. When one edge becomes blunt, an operator can simply unfasten the knife, rotate it 90 degrees to a new, sharp edge, and refasten it. This can be done three times before the blade needs to be replaced, maximising its lifespan and minimising downtime.
