개요

The Cutting Edge of Every Recycling Line

Blades are the single most consumable component in any plastic, metal or tire recycling plant — and the single biggest driver of throughput, particle uniformity and energy cost. A dull or mismatched blade forces the motor to work harder, produces irregular regrind, and can shorten screen and bearing life. Energycle supplies precision-ground replacement blades and rotor knives for shredders, granulators, crushers, pelletizers and pulverizers, with materials matched to the feedstock — from standard D2 tool steel for film and soft plastics to tungsten carbide for aluminum, copper, tires and glass-filled composites. Every blade is heat-treated to HRC 58–62, ground to ±0.02 mm flatness, and ships with the mounting hole pattern, bevel angle and edge geometry of the OEM part you’re replacing.

Which Blade Material Fits Your Feed?

Material choice drives edge life far more than geometry. Use this table to match steel grade to feedstock.

재료 경도 가장 적합한 Relative Edge Life 비용
D2 공구강 HRC 58–60 Film, soft plastics, paper 1.0× (baseline) $
SKD-11 (Cr12MoV) HRC 58–62 Rigid PP/PE, PET bottles, HDPE drums 1.3–1.6× $$
DC53 HRC 60–62 Thick-wall plastic, shock-sensitive cuts 1.5–1.8× $$
CPM-10V HRC 60–62 Abrasive plastic, fiber-reinforced parts 2–3× $$$
Tungsten Carbide Tip HRA 89–92 Aluminum, copper, tires, glass-filled 3–5× $$$$
Selection Guide

How to Choose the Right Replacement Blade

1. Identify the machine type

Single-shaft shredder, twin-shaft shredder, granulator, crusher, or pelletizer — each uses a different blade family. Match the mounting pattern first, then the edge geometry.

2. Measure the feedstock

Soft plastic film tolerates D2. Rigid PET, HDPE and PP call for SKD-11 or DC53. Anything with aluminum contamination, fiberglass or mineral fill needs carbide tips.

3. Match the geometry

Hex vs. square for shredders; flat vs. angled for granulator rotors. Bevel angle (usually 30°–45°) determines cutting force and regrind particle size.

4. Plan a sharpening cycle

Carbide blades resist wear but cannot be field-sharpened. Tool-steel blades can be resharpened 6–10 times with an automatic grinder — often cheaper than buying new.

적용 분야

Where Our Blades Run Every Day

Engineered to process a wide range of recycling streams — from post-consumer films to rigid industrial scrap.

Tire & Rubber
Passenger tires, truck tires, and conveyor belts. Paired with carbide-tipped rotor knives for extreme wear resistance.
금속 재활용
Aluminum cans, copper wire, and e-waste. Hardened carbide-tipped blades are mandatory for these abrasive feedstocks.
목재 및 바이오매스
Pallets, construction waste, and MDF. D2 or SKD-11 blades with anti-nail bolt-on holders for intermittent metal contact.
Paper & Specialized Feed
OCC, office paper, and circuit boards. Thin blades with fine pitch for confetti-grade size reduction in specialized lines.
Care & Longevity

Make Every Blade Last Longer

Inspect knife clearance weekly

Rotor-to-bed knife gap should stay within 0.15–0.30 mm. Oversized gap wastes energy and tears instead of cutting.

Rotate blade sets

Most shredder blades have 2–4 usable edges. Rotating at scheduled intervals doubles or triples service life before re-grinding.

Remove metal contamination

Install a magnetic separator upstream. A single stray bolt can chip 6–8 carbide tips in one rotation.

Sharpen, don’t replace

자동 칼날 분쇄기 removes 0.05–0.1 mm per pass, giving you 6–10 re-sharpens per blade set at a fraction of replacement cost.

No. D2 tool steel dulls within hours on aluminum or copper scrap. Use tungsten-carbide-tipped rotor knives for any metal-bearing feedstock.

Shredder blades deliver coarse size reduction (20–100 mm output) at slow rpm with high torque. Granulator blades run at 400–800 rpm and produce fine regrind (4–12 mm).
