Hot Air Pipeline Drying
Pipeline Hot Air Drying System
Dry washed plastic flakes and regrind quickly and consistently with a high-velocity hot air pipeline. Designed to reach less than 2% final moisture, this system improves pelletizing stability, reduces defects, and helps you run higher-throughput washing lines.
Why This System
Pipeline Hot Air Dryer Benefits
Maximize material value, boost throughput, and lower operational costs with precision hot air drying.
Maximize Material Value
Produce premium-grade recycled plastics that command higher prices. The system achieves <2% moisture content critical for flawless pelletizing and molding.
Boost Your Throughput
The powerful 72 kW heating and 30-meter pipeline enable continuous, high-volume processing, minimizing bottlenecks in your washing line.
Lower Operational Costs
High-grade insulation reduces energy consumption by up to 20%, while durable SUS304 stainless steel construction minimizes maintenance and ensures a 10+ year lifespan.
Heavy-Duty SUS304 Construction
All material contact parts fabricated from corrosion-proof SUS304 stainless steel to prevent contamination and ensure purity. Robust carbon steel frame (60x60x3 mm) provides unwavering stability for 24/7 continuous operation.
How It Works
Pipeline Drying Process
A continuous, inline drying process that removes moisture from washed plastics using high-velocity heated air — no batch loading or manual handling required.
Material Feeding
Wet flakes or regrind from the upstream dewatering stage are fed into the pipeline inlet via screw conveyor or rotary valve.
Hot Air Acceleration
The 72 kW electric heater raises air temperature while the 11 kW blower generates high-velocity airflow to suspend and transport the material.
Pipeline Drying
Material travels through the 30-meter SUS304 insulated pipeline, where constant heat exposure evaporates surface and residual moisture down to <2%.
Cyclone Separation & Collection
Dried material is separated from the airstream in a cyclone separator, then discharged into a storage silo or fed directly to the pelletizer.

Rigid Plastic Drying
Ideal Applications for PET/HDPE/PP
This hot air pipeline dryer is a strong fit for washed rigid plastics and regrind where stable moisture and continuous output matter most.
Post-Consumer PET Bottle Flakes
Reduce moisture for consistent IV and stable extrusion/pelletizing after washing.
Post-Industrial HDPE Regrind
Improve feeding and melt stability by removing surface moisture and residual water.
Washed PP Granules
Lower moisture before compounding to reduce bubbles, splay, and production downtime.
ABS & Mixed Rigid Plastics
Prepare shredded ABS housings and mixed rigid regrind for stable extrusion by removing residual wash water.

Frequently Asked Questions
It is a continuous drying unit that uses a high-velocity hot air stream to convey and dry washed plastic flakes or regrind through a pipeline, helping reduce moisture before pelletizing or compounding. It is commonly paired with a centrifugal dewatering machine or film squeezer upstream for maximum efficiency.
Typical targets include PET flakes, HDPE/PP regrind, and other washed rigid plastics. Material shape, size, and inlet moisture affect achievable performance — share your feedstock details for a recommendation.
With the right configuration, many installations target less than 2% final moisture. The exact result depends on material type, inlet moisture, throughput, and pipeline length/temperature settings.
We size heating power, airflow, and pipeline length/diameter based on your target capacity (kg/h), material type, and inlet/outlet moisture. For film lines, consider our thermal dryer as an alternative. Send your line throughput and material photos for faster selection.
