What is the difference between this granulator and a shredder?
A granulator uses high speed and sharp blades to cut plastic into small, uniform granules. It's ideal for hollow or rigid items up to ~2cm thick. A shredder uses low speed and high torque to tear thicker materials. For items thicker than 2cm, we recommend a shredder first.
How are the blades maintained?
The premium D2 steel blades can be easily removed for sharpening. We recommend a regular inspection schedule. We also offer automatic blade sharpening machines for in-house maintenance.
Can I process soft materials like film?
While optimized for rigid plastics, this machine can handle various materials. However, for soft PE film, a different rotor configuration might be more efficient. Contact us for the best recommendation.
