When processing PET bales, does it damage the bottles?
No, it does not. Our machine operates on a principle of “liberation,” not “shredding.” The low-speed, high-torque knives are designed to tear the bale straps and gently separate the compressed bottles. Any contact with the bottles results in only minor scratches, which does not affect downstream optical sorting or washing processes.
What is the lifespan and replacement cost of the knives?
The knives are made from high-wear-resistant alloy steel and have a typical service life of 1500-2000 operating hours.
