PET Bottle Label Remover Machine
Industrial-grade label removal machines for PET, HDPE, and mixed bottle recycling lines. Available in dry rotary and wet stripping configurations, Energycle de-labelers achieve 95–98% label removal efficiency — stripping OPP, PVC shrink-sleeve, paper, and PS labels while minimizing bottle breakage and improving downstream flake purity.
Why Use a Bottle Label Remover
Label removal is not just a cleaning step. It reduces contamination load before crushing, lowers downstream wash demand, and improves final rPET flake quality. Removing labels, sleeves, and adhesives early in the line protects downstream equipment and boosts overall purity.
95–98% Label Removal
Alloy serrated knives and friction baffles (dry model) or rotor blades with water spray (wet model) strip OPP, PVC shrink sleeves, paper, and PS labels efficiently. Typical removal rate exceeds 95%, reaching 98% under optimal conditions.
Reducerea fracturilor sticlelor
Optimized blade clearance and drum geometry minimize damage so bottles remain intact for crushing. Typical breakage rate stays below 5%, preserving material value for downstream size reduction.
Dry or Wet Operation
Choose dry rotary de-labeling for standard applications, or wet stripping for lines where pre-washing and adhesive softening in one step reduces downstream load. Both configurations are available in the same product family.
Puritate superioară a fulgilor
Removing labels and loose dirt before granulation cuts carryover into the hot wash, friction wash, and sink-float stages. Cleaner feed means higher final rPET flake purity for food-grade, fiber-grade, and sheet applications.
Costuri de operare mai mici
The wet stripping stage reduces the amount of paper, film, and adhesive that later washing equipment must handle. Cleaner feed improves line stability and can reduce labor, water treatment load, and wear in later stages.
Clean Label Separation
Labels discharge from dedicated ports to reduce contamination in the bottle stream. Detached label fragments and dirty wash water separate from the heavier bottle stream, ensuring a clean output for downstream processing.
How the Dry Label Remover Works
Un cilindru rotativ, foarfece aspru și frecare controlată separă etichetele curat de sticlele PET cu minimă deteriorare.
Intrare stabilă
Loose bottles enter the inclined drum via conveyor or hopper for stable, controlled throughput.
Acțiune de frecare + foarfece
Serrated alloy knives and baffles shear and peel labels from bottle surfaces through mechanical friction.
Eliberarea etichetelor
Labels exit through dedicated slots; optional dust extraction removes fines and fibers from the airstream.
Ieșire curată a sticlelor
De-labeled bottles move on to crushing, float-sink separation, friction washing, and dewatering stages.
How the Wet Label Remover Works
A continuous wet stripping process that strips labels and pre-washes bottles in one step — water helps soften paper labels and adhesive while the rotor tears labels away.
Introducerea fluxului
Loose or debaled PET bottles enter the chamber in a controlled stream from the upstream conveyor.
Contactul rotorului
Blades and friction surfaces engage the bottles and start loosening wraparound labels through mechanical action.
Decapare umedă
Water helps soften paper labels and adhesive while the rotor tears labels away. Surface dirt and glue residues are flushed simultaneously.
Împărțirea materialului
Detached label fragments and dirty wash water separate from the heavier bottle stream. Clean bottles proceed to the next stage.

Aplicații în reciclarea sticlelor
Essential pre-treatment for high-purity rPET production and mixed bottle streams.
Linii de reciclare a sticlelor PET
Remove cap and body labels before float-sink density separation. De-labeling before crushing reduces label carryover into the hot wash and friction wash stages, significantly improving final PET flake purity. The label remover is a core component of our Sistem de reciclare a sticlelor PET.
Eliminarea manșoanelor
Efficiently handles PVC and OPS shrink sleeves often used on beverage bottles and cosmetics packaging. The dry rotary model’s serrated knives are particularly effective at shearing tight-fitting sleeves.
Producția de fulgi de rPET
Used in lines targeting higher flake purity for fiber, sheet, or bottle-to-bottle rPET preparation. The wet model’s integrated pre-wash adds an extra contamination reduction step before size reduction.
Îmbunătățirea spălării ulterioare
Improves friction washer performance and reduces wastewater load by removing the bulk of label material and adhesive before the washing stages. See our Șaibă cu frecare de mare viteză.
Modernizări de linie
Both dry and wet models can be added to existing PET recycling lines where label residue is still too high after manual removal. Standard infeed and discharge connections match common conveyor sizes, and the water recirculation system (wet model) can tie into existing water treatment infrastructure.

Intrebari frecvente
Both dry and wet models handle OPP wrap-around labels, PVC and OPS shrink sleeves, paper labels, and PS labels commonly used on PET beverage bottles. The actual removal rate varies by label material, adhesive type, bottle condition, and machine configuration. Under optimal conditions, both models achieve 95–98% removal efficiency.
Blade clearance and drum speed (dry model) or rotor speed (wet model) are tuned to minimize bottle breakage while providing enough friction to detach labels effectively. The dry model is specifically engineered for low breakage through optimized blade geometry, while the wet model typically keeps breakage below 5%.
Water helps loosen paper labels and adhesive while also removing surface dirt. The wet model strips labels and pre-washes bottles in one step before crushing, which reduces downstream washing load. Choose wet when your feedstock has heavy adhesive residue, paper labels, or when reducing load on downstream hot wash and friction wash stages is a priority.
Dry operation is standard on the rotary model. Adding optional spray bars helps loosen adhesives and reduce dust, improving downstream float-sink and friction washing steps. For stubborn sleeves, warm spray bars can further improve removal rate. However, if your primary need is combined de-labeling and pre-washing, the dedicated wet model is a better fit.
The label remover is usually installed after bale breaking, sorting, and metal removal, and before the wet granulator or crusher. This sequence removes the bulk of label material before size reduction, preventing label fragments from contaminating the downstream washing and separation stages. See our complete Sistem de reciclare a sticlelor PET for full line layout.
Yes. Both models commonly handle paper labels, PP and PE wraparound labels, and many shrink-sleeve applications. Final removal rate depends on label type, adhesive condition, bottle condition, and line setup. Our engineering team can recommend the optimal configuration based on your specific label mix.
Stabilize infeed rate, adjust residence time and drum/rotor speed, keep knives sharp, and enable dust extraction (dry model). For stubborn sleeves on the dry model, use warm spray bars. On the wet model, increasing water temperature and spray pressure can improve adhesive softening. Regular blade maintenance is critical for both models.
Please share your capacity target (kg/h or t/h), bottle mix (PET, HDPE, mixed), label types (shrink sleeve, wrap-around, paper, glued), contamination level, and the upstream and downstream equipment already in your line. Based on that, we can recommend a suitable model, size, and integration layout.
