Wet Label Stripping
Water and rotor contact help loosen sleeves, paper labels, adhesive, and surface dirt.
This trial run shows a wet PET bottle label remover combining label stripping and bottle pre-washing in one stage. Water helps loosen paper labels, adhesive, and surface dirt while the rotor separates labels from the bottle stream.
Loose or debaled bottles enter the chamber at a controlled rate. Rotor blades and friction surfaces repeatedly contact the bottles, while water softens glued paper and carries away loose dirt and label fragments.
The trial checks feeding stability, label release, bottle condition, water flow, and separation of detached material. Actual removal performance depends on bottle shape, label type, adhesive, blade condition, and residence time.
Removing labels before crushing reduces the amount of film, paper, glue, and dirt entering the wet granulator, friction washer, hot-wash stage, and sink-float tank.
The test demonstrates water-assisted de-labeling as a pretreatment step before bottle crushing and intensive washing.
Water and rotor contact help loosen sleeves, paper labels, adhesive, and surface dirt.
Operators inspect label release while keeping the bottle stream suitable for downstream granulation.
Early label removal lowers the contamination load entering crushing, washing, and density separation.
Review wet and dry de-labeling routes according to bottle type, label material, contamination, water strategy, and throughput target.
