Preisfaktoren und Angebots-Checkliste für PET-Flaschen-Recycling-Waschanlagen

Faktoren, die den Preis einer Waschanlage für PET-Flaschenflocken beeinflussen

A PET bottle washing line price cannot be judged from throughput alone. Two quotations carrying the same kilograms-per-hour label may differ in feedstock assumptions, sorting scope, wash chemistry, water treatment, drying target, automation, construction materials, installation and acceptance testing. A useful comparison begins with one written design basis and a line-by-line scope review.

Why published price ranges are often misleading

A bare equipment figure may exclude freight, civil work, utilities, wastewater treatment, installation, commissioning, taxes, spare parts and upstream or downstream equipment. Feedstock also changes the required process: clean deposit-return bottles are not equivalent to mixed curbside bales with labels, caps, PVC, metal, sand and organic residue.

This guide therefore explains the cost drivers and the information needed for a comparable quotation rather than giving a universal price range. For the process itself, see the PET-Flaschen-Recyclingsystem.

The main PET washing line price factors

Faktor Questions to define How it changes the project
Rohstoffe Bales or loose bottles? Bottle colours? Labels, caps, PVC, metals, sand and residue? Determines sorting, prewashing, separation and reject-handling requirements.
Required output Target polymer purity, colour split, moisture, label or adhesive residue, fines and flake size? Sets the necessary wash intensity, separation, drying and quality-control stages.
Guaranteed capacity Measured at input or saleable output? At what contamination and moisture? Affects machine sizing, buffers, conveyors, utilities and the meaning of a performance guarantee.
Sorting scope Manual stations, metal removal, colour or NIR sorting, PVC detection? Changes capital cost and the risk of expensive contamination downstream.
Waschsystem Cold or controlled hot wash? Chemical dosing? Residence time and friction washing? Influences tanks, heating, dosing, process control and operating cost.
Wasserbehandlung Recirculation target, filtration, sludge handling and discharge limits? May require a separate treatment package, pumps, tanks and site permits.
Trocknen Required moisture at which sampling point and under what conditions? Determines mechanical and possible thermal drying, air handling and energy demand.
Automation and controls Local control or central HMI, recipe control, alarms, data logging and remote diagnostics? Changes instrumentation, panels, engineering and operator requirements.
Site and compliance Available voltage, climate, layout, local codes, guarding and documentation? Can change motors, electrical components, structures and certification work.

Capacity must be defined before comparing quotes

Ask whether rated capacity means wet bottle input, dry flake output or a nominal mechanical rate. Require the assumed bale composition, contamination, moisture, operating hours and planned availability. A line that receives more caps, labels, liquid and dirt will not produce the same saleable PET output from the same input mass.

Buffers and downstream restrictions matter as much as the largest machine. A fast granulator does not create stable line capacity if sorting, label removal, drying or bagging becomes the bottleneck. Performance acceptance should therefore use representative material and agreed sampling methods.

Hot washing, separation and drying

Hot washing may be required for difficult adhesive, oil or product residue, but temperature, chemistry and residence time should be selected from feedstock testing. It adds heating, dosing, rinsing and water-treatment requirements. Extra separation stages may also be justified when the incoming stream contains troublesome labels or look-alike polymers.

Drying scope should state the measurement method and location. Mechanical dewatering and centrifugal drying can reduce the load on downstream air or thermal systems, but results depend on flake size, feed consistency and operating settings. See our Zentrifugaldryer-Leitfaden Und PET washing line maintenance guide.

Capital price versus total project cost

Compare lifetime cost using the same boundary. Include electricity, fuel or steam, water, chemicals, labour, wear parts, planned maintenance, reject disposal, wastewater and production losses during changeovers or cleaning. Also clarify freight, lifting, foundations, platforms, pipework, cabling, laboratory equipment, operator training, commissioning and initial spare parts.

Lower equipment cost can be offset by poor yield, unstable quality or an omitted utility package. Conversely, automation is not automatically valuable unless it controls a real process variable or reduces a documented operating risk.

PET washing line RFQ checklist

  • Representative feedstock photos, samples and composition data, including seasonal variation.
  • Required saleable output rate and a separate input-rate assumption.
  • Written flake specification and test methods for polymer purity, moisture, colour, fines and residues.
  • Utility limits: electrical supply, water quality and flow, heat source, compressed air and drainage.
  • Site layout, elevation limits, access, ambient conditions and local compliance requirements.
  • Included equipment, instruments, platforms, piping, electrical scope, water treatment and waste handling.
  • Performance test material, duration, sampling plan, acceptance criteria and remedy for non-conformance.
  • Documentation, training, spare parts, warranty boundary and service responsibilities.

Representative feedstock data and a measurable output specification come first. They allow the supplier to size the process and state a meaningful performance basis.
